This years Silverstone Classic is being held on the 26/27/28 July the LCR will have a club stand and we have requested it to be on tarmac this year after last years debacle, whether we get or not we will have to wait and see, there will be a change to the booking procedure this year, instead of the LCR organising the booking with Silverstone for the display, and for the camping. It will be down to individual members to make there own bookings.
The LCR has been given our own booking reference C13261 this must be quoted when making an individual booking. We have had a request from the organisers of this event, there is a press & media launch for this event on May 8th, as this is the 50th year of the LC they have asked if they could have 2 LCs on display at the entrance of hall 3, they have also asked if there are a couple of race prepped cars that could be made avalible to take VIPs and people from the media around the track, ( these can be the same cars that are on display).
if any member is able to oblige please let me know.
The LCR has been given the opportunity to have a Parade on the track at dusk on the Sat evening, but we would need more than the five cars that are currently booked in.
