Identification Plates
Where does the small identification plate (not the vin plate) fit on an airflow mk 1 and what information does it contain? My body shell has had new inner wing tops fitted but I still have the original plate and I need to refit it in the correct position so any info or photos would be great.

Re: Identification Plates
Its the build plate which was attached at the start of the cars construction, it contains the designation code for a Lotus Cortina, whether its RHD or LHD and the consecutive number of the build,Tomtecno wrote:Where does the small identification plate (not the vin plate) fit on an airflow mk 1 and what information does it contain? Re: Identification Plates
That’s it Rick, thanks. Can you tell me where it should be placed?

Re: Identification Plates
It sits on the flat of the top plate on driver's side of the inner wing just behind the bonnet hinge.

Re: Identification Plates
Just my personal opinion but it's 52 years old so what's wrong with it looking a bit scruffy?

I'm way too far past 52 to care Keith.
