Mk II wanted

G'day from sunny New Zealand.

I don't think I can bear looking at any more totally butchered cars here in NZ. So I'm now looking in the UK (where I come from and go back to a few weeks every summer) for a MkII GT, Lotus or 1600E. I've got a great historic MkI Escort race car here, but the urge for a MkII Cortina as a daily driver is getting out of control. Originality and provenance more important than condition, definitely not interested in any Lotus or GT 'conversions', thanks.

As we buckle down to our winter, hope you guys have a great summer there.

PS: am of course keeping an eye on Ebay etc, but the owner of one of the cars I was interested in refuses to let me have a photo of the VIN plate and chassis, or to confirm the car's numbers...
