Avo National day Stanford hall June 19th

Post by mexico tim »

I know its just a week after your own national day but it would be great to see a few Lotus Cortina's at Stanford hall on June 19th for AVO Club national day ,biggest gathering of AVO Cars in the year and at just £6 a cheap show to attend.

there is also a trophy for the best visiting club stand

Hi Martin,
You need to see Jim Payton. He's always got a stand at the 1600e o/c national, has loads of the hard to get bits, in mint nick, is cheaper than everyone else and owns a a Lotus. Plus he's a really nice bloke to deal with.
He doesn't ask for a membership number either,
so it's a result all round.

Hi Tim,
I might be there in my Mk2 Lotus but was planning on going in my oldest Twink powered 105E, it's a bit tatty now but still drives a treat. I don' think I've touched the body since it came 3rd in a Car & Car Conversions top 50 car sprint 20 odd years ago so hardly surprising really.
I've asked Neil, 105speed, if I can park with them a a guest if I do take the Cortina & he's given me the ok if thats alright you AVOer's.
Cheers, Ozzy.
