LFV 68F - MK2 London - Sydney car

Post by Keith Halstead »

A friend of mine is restoring this car (once owned by Ray Evans, David Harrison & Martin Proudlock) and needs some help.

See viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7611&p=49058&hilit=harrison#p49058 for some background.

Anyway; he would like to speak to anyone who has any old knowledge or photos of the car to assist with the resto as it is undergoing the work now after being bought at auction then stored.

Now for sale on Ebay £20k https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/167071704410 ... d=PH-rally

Regrettably due too many other projects I'm working on I just do not have the time to get this car put back together so I'm offering it for sale.

1968 Lotus Cortina, Well known Ex rally car.

Placed 1st in the team rally in the 2001 Rallye des Alpes and also competed in the 993 FIA London-Sydney Rally

The shell has been prepped and painted ready to be put back together.

I have scoped the engine and it looks very fresh inside and spins over perfect, happy to provide evidence.

Huge photographic history file going way back, very interesting to go through. Photo albums of all the rally's it competed in.

Pretty much everything is here to put it back on the road, all that's missing is, callipers, rear hubs and back window.

A fantastic opportunity for someone who has the time, will be sad to see it go.

Brand new dolly
