This car was imported in Belgium by a rally driver who passed away before using it. The car was then sold on and is up for sale again.

First registered in UK on the 1st March 1965. Road tax last due 1st January 1981.

A number of potential buyers are asking for the VIN number which I am reluctant to give away for the same reason you are mentioning.
How could I know more about this car ?

If the car is registered in your name to an address in the UK , and the car is currently located in the UK you can send a V888 to the DVLA requesting they send you any info including previous owner history that they have on the car.
