LCR National day 20th July 2014, Donington (new thread)

Details for the 2014 National Rally are as follows.

As previously advised the National will be held at Donington Park on Sunday 20th July as guests of the RS owners club.

Entry costs are £15.00 per car and driver, £12.00 per passenger. Under 16's free.

All entries MUST BE PRE-BOOKED by 30th June!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have entry form to complete. If you wish to attend payment please to my paypal account: howard.law@hotmail.co.uk or cheque payable to H M Law to 210 City Way, Rochester, Kent ME1 2BN.

Either way i need your address and car details please.

Published in advance of QB being issued as forum members will gain no huge advantage knowing early.

I'm sure that a 400 mile round trip for members in the North of the UK deters them from making the trip to Brands, this is why we try to hold the National Day in a central location to benefit all members.

A lot of people came from much longer distances last year. I know of two members who came from Scotland and one member who brought two cars over from Northern Ireland.

I completely agree with what you are saying but last year was very special and as I posted previously, it would be great if we could see where all the active members with cars live in the country, not full addresses but just by county would be helpful. This would also assist members that would like to arrange monthly pub meets with others.

It's the quality of the venue and what's on offer that will attract members not necessarily where it's located. That's why last year's National Day was such a success.

Hi Ian and all,

Why not put a post up asking if anyone is interested in a pub meet in your area and see what the response is from local members!
This is what the guys from Sussex did a couple of years ago and they are enjoying great success.
It only takes one member to take the initiative and away you go! There is nothing stopping anyone in any area doing this in fact it is encouraged by the club.
