Lotus wood steering wheel
Hi I am a new member to this forum. I live in Surrey British Columbia Canada. In my past I have owned a 68 Cortina GT MKII and 2 Lotus sevens, a 69 MKIII and a 65 MKII .
I have a question: Around 1971 I added a MKI style Lotus Cortina wood steering wheel to my Cortina GT. I still have the steering wheel and it has been restored. I have recently reluctantly decided to sell it and have a person locally who is interested purchasing it. I really have no idea of the current value of the steering wheel, and would appreciate it if any one could give me an idea of what it is worth now. Thanks for any help you could give me!

Here is a picture. I completely restored the wheel and the rim is just oiled but not varnished. [/img]
Hope this works

Not sure if I am missing something here but the picture of Gerry's wheel doesn't look any different to the one in Keith's picture except of course for the difference in the shade of the wood. My 1966 RHD car has a very pale coloured woodrim that looks exactly the same as Gerry's but it definitely has it's original woodrim. Would there really have been two different types of woodrim fitted to LHD and RHD cars?
