Hi Dave I am in Bexley but it seems a bit unfair to make the majority travel further just for me. See how you get on finding a suitable pub and if its sissinghurst then so be it.

If you look at a map Pembury would be equal For Brendan David and Mervln but would only just get the engine warm for me

Handy for a very nice new hospital.

Okies with me as a venue (Pembury, not the hospital)

Mervyn (old racer) & myself went pub hunting yesterday around Pembury & found two pubs that we thought would be good for a meet.

The first is The Star (TN12 7JR), a fairly large pub, in the village of Matfield which is just over a mile off the A21 on the B2160 heading towards Paddock Wood. It's a good size pub with a fair size car park & grass area with tables (thinking ahead to summer). Nice atmosphere so could suit us well.

The second is The Halfway House which is just outside the village of Brenchley (TN12 7AX) about a mile & a half from the Star. This is a very traditional type of pub in a rural area. Smaller than the Star but boasts a large unmade car park & a good grassed area with tables, next to the car park.

I've checked milages from Matfield which are: Ashford 27 miles. St Leonards 23 miles. Yalding 7 miles, Maidstone 14 miles. Bexley 30 miles.

If everyone could let us have their thoughts then maybe we can arrange to meet at one of the venues & decide on a date for regular meetings.

Over & out.

The Star car park looks better from gravel rash boy racers point of view The Halfway house can get very busy in summer and parking tight.

Ok. It looks as though the snow is on it's way so maybe we can arrange a date to meet up for our first meeting.

I suggest that we start with next week, Monday 21st - Friday 25th Jan. If everyone could post the evenings they cannot make then we should be able to pick one that suits us all. If not we can repeat the process the following week.
