A big thanks to Simon G and his family for organising this. Very well done.

I second that, it was a great day out Simon and I would have stopped overnight for the Sunday but Keith would have sulked if he was the only car at Battlesbridge on the Sunday!
I'm sure the Sunday Brands people enjoyed it as much as we did on Saturday,- photos please

Thanks for all the nice comments fellas but it wouldn't have been possible without the support of you all in bringing your cars along. The scorching weather also helped. I'm pleased and somewhat relieved that it all went so well and I'm glad you all enjoyed it. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend! It was great to meet so many new faces and there was a really friendly atmosphere on the stand.

In spite of some minor inconvenience at times accessing the camping area, I thought the facilities were generally very good.

Needless to say, plans will be made well in advance for next year's Festival and National Day.

Regards

Simon

I think Goodwoods gone wrong

Brans and Silverstone have got it just right, a family weekend, they can also cater for the people they let in so you can view the racing easily, clean toilet and no queuing, decent food and plenty of clean tables, polite staff that aren't on the take and atmosphere
Unfortunately Goodwood cant offer any of the above because of there greed and the pack em in attitude

I would like to say a very big thank you to Simon & his family for organising a very special Brands Hatch weekend. For me, opportunities for enjoying my car on occassions such as this are few & far between. I was therefor most disapointed on Sunday when, on my way to Brands late Sunday morning, I drove into a thunder storm of biblical proportions as I was heading for the M25. If I'd had more time to think I would possibly have continued towards Brands Hatch blue skys but as it was I left the slip road & headed for home. It was a big mistake & I very much regret it now. It was good to meet everyone on Saturday though, so a big thankyou to everyone for making such a special day.

I am just in the process of getting all the pictures developed of everyone's cars and should be able to post these out soon but I have just realised I have made a slight cock up because I can't trace pictures on my camera of two cars that I had taken pictures of over the weekend. I don't know what happened as I had ticked them all off as I took the photos. I am missing pictures of Graham Kent's Mk1 (NAR) and Darren Harrison's Mk2 (WTG I think). Does anyone have good quality pictures taken at the weekend of Graham's and Darren's cars that they could email to me please? My email address is simon954@hotmail.co.uk

Many thanks

Leader of the Pack!! LCR Membership Secretary, Rikki Nock leads us around Brands Hatch in SOO 630 D on our "parade" lap. Just look at all that rubber he's deposited on this corner! We managed to keep up with him - well, for most of the time anyway!

Mine arrived today as well Simon. Many thanks.
I take it by the quality of the picture that you're a photographer by trade?

No, I'm not a photographer by trade David, just jack of all trades! All the pictures were taken using my daughter's compact camera. While I would love to have an all singing, all dancing camera, you can take very good pictures of vehicles even with a relatively inexpensive camera provided it's got lots of megapixels (so you don't lose the resolution when the picture is enlarged) and you've got some decent light, which we certainly had at Brands!

I was able to produce all the pictures for under £3.00 each and that included the frames, carded envelopes and postage. Now that you've all got the pictures and when I've worked out how to do it (daughter's assistance required again) I will post the whole lot on the forum.
