Hi tried pm,ing you this......
I have a modified 4 door mk1 tina and only live in Guildford.
I would be intersted in coming along to this event if its not too late.
Only received Info from Brooklands yesterday. Can those of you who are attending send me their email addresses and I will try and forward the details tonight. If you do not get it you enter via the Campbell gate and you will be directed to our stand. See you Sat/Sun.
It says that the LCR stand is "in front of Lorry Park by Acoustics."
Cars must be on site from 0900 - 1800.
Entry via the Campbell Gate which is on the B374 between the BP Garage and the railway. Do not follow the main visitor signs as these will take you via either Mercedes Benz world or the "The Heights" public car park.
Postcode KT13 0QN should get you to the right entrance if you use SatNav.
Should we be receiving tickets etc then direct from Brooklands/VSCC?
I attended this event back in 2008 with the Historic Lotus Club. It was a super weekend & I love the place but the organisation getting entrants in & out was a shambles indeed a great many people I spoke too vowed never to return. I tend to be a little more optimistic myself & assume they've learnt from those mistakes. However, if tickets etc. don't arrive I don't want to have to fight to get in or risk being turned away because I don't have the correct documentation.
Really great event, particularly on the Sunday with the hill climb attracting the Cobras and the fantastic Rolls Royce Handlye Special with its 27litre Merlin engine. Wheel spin all the way up the hill. If I knew how to post the pics I would do so but keep forgetting the method.
Attached link is our display on the Saturday.
Hi John,
Thanks for organising the club stand. It was truly an outstanding event, up there with the best I've been to. The sight & sound of those Cobras and Shelby Mustangs powering up Test Hill was superb.
As was the LCR stand, our cars were drooled over by all who passed by. The Napier-Railton and Delage were just sensational, as was the Sopwith Camel, when it was fired up. I'll definitely be back for next year.

I'm pleased that all those who came along enjoyed this event. As many of you know it was a weekend of work for me but I was pleased to be able to bring the car and put it on the LCR display. I had a great drive back cross country (with a little bit of motorway) to Warwick on Sunday evening. The car was in fine form and I had a LOT of fun!
I'm sorry I didn't have more time to talk to you all during the event.
I must add my thanks to John for his efforts in getting LCR to the show.
This year's event attracted more spectators than any previous year and it is growing in stature as an event not to be missed.
It was good to meet you 83man. I too had a splendid drive home, to East Sussex. The M25 was snarled up so I opted for the roads I used when I first bought my car 43 years ago (pre M25). Opened the windows & turned the crackly radio on to find Capital Gold playing 2 hours of 60's music, Beatles, Beach Boys, Hermans Hermits, Lovin Spoonful etc, etc. Combined with the throaty roar of the twin cam I could have been 23 again.
