SUNDAY LUNCH
Hi all!
I'm pleased to announce the return of the Sunday Lunch - back by popular request...
9 September, meet at 1 (ish) to eat at 3 (ish) at:
The Lamb & Flag, Faringdon Road, Longworth, Nr Abingdon, Oxfordshire just off the A420 Swindon – Oxford road (the same venue as last year because it was central, good value and most people seemed to enjoy it)
* From Swindon exit A420 on right signposted to Charney Bassett & Denchworth (just after dual carriageway starts)
* From Oxford exit A420 on left signposted to Charney Bassett & Denchworth (about 1 mile after the sign to Kingston Bagpuize & Southmoor)
* Then after a few metres turn right at the roundabout (this is a dead-end road)
* The pub is on the right in about ½ mile
They get very busy for Sunday lunches because of reputation of the carvery – priced at £8.45 for adults and you can eat as much as you want! Alternatively, there’s the usual ‘home cooked’ starters, mains & desserts all reasonably priced.
They'll actually be holding a lager festival in a marquee this year and there'll be a bbq too, so there should be plenty of choices.
I've already booked, but I need to know who's coming by 4th September at the latest please.
Nothing was too much trouble for them last year and once again, they’ve gone out of their way to accommodate us with a reserved separate parking area.
To book, either add your name & number of people to this subject on the forum, or call either me on 07971 459667 or Andy Morrell on 01923 776219
…so come on! Get Lotus out (if weather/wipers permit, if not then then it really doesn’t matter), pile everyone in, let someone else cook ‘n’ wash up & join us for the afternoon…
(Girls - It's worth it if only to see our lovely Louis all scrubbed up again)

Blimey Louis! That was a quick reply - don't you have any work to do? I must remember to pay more compliments if it gets this sort of result.
Any chance you could contact John/Marion, Darren/Sara, Martin and anyone else your way cos I'm not sure who reads the forum & who doesn't?
Look forward to seeing you on the 9th all sparkly shiney! What with you and Andy Morrell aka Captain America , I can't wait...

Sunday Lunch
Hi All,
Is the forum aware this meal is being arranged as an open invitation to all members and potential members, of the LCR? This is not just for the selected few. If you are a member who is a little reserved and are unsure of the club scene come along and meet fellow members on a level playing field and enjoy a pleasant country drive, informal chat, finished off with a nice meal with nice people!

Hi all, good to see the numbers rising at last!!
Thanks for the push Andy (LOVED the "nice people" touch )
You still have a few days to put your name down before I have to finalise numbers with the pub. Kids are also welcome of course.
Our car hasn't moved (other then for the MOT) since the National Day so its definitely time to blow out those cobwebs - and I bet I'm not the only one in view of the crappy summer weather, so how about it???
Rick, how about you and yours? I'm sure you'd prefer not to cook the Sunday dinner for everyone, mind you, I bet you look cute in your pinny
