Breakfast Meeting in East Sussex - SUNDAY 29 MAY 2011

Post by Graham139 »

A Sussex landlord has invited the LCR to join other petrol heads at a breakfast meeting at his pub on SUNDAY 29 MAY 2011. The meeting is to be held at The Five Bells public house in Chailey, East Sussex, BN8 4AD (5 miles north of Lewes on the A275) from 10am. These meetings have been running since August 2010 and are apparently very popular. No need to book - just turn up, although it would be handy to know through this forum who plans to go!

Good turnout of 4 LCs today, for the breakfast meeting, very welcoming landlord, this venue is on the last Sunday every month, well worth a trip next month.

It was a very laid-back affair and very enjoyable. Cars were turning up and leaving throughout the time we were there. There was a clutch of Cossies, RS Escort, RS Focus, a number of Porches, an e Type Jag, a Ferrari, other exotica and loads of interesting road cars of all ages. Here is a picture I took facing the pub and the outdoor breakfast BBQ, but there were loads more cars behind me! I'll not be able to make the next breakfast meeting on 26 June, but should be able to make the Sunday 30 July meet. I'll pin something up on the forum nearer the time and have a ring-round of those I know locally who don't use the forum and hopefully drag a few more LC along. Meanwhile, I'll look forward to another hot bacon and sausage bap, hot coffee and natter!
