LCR SUSSEX DAY - SUNDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2010
I've arranged a time and venue at last for a one-off Sussex meet for LCR members and anyone else who is interested in our cars. It will take place on Sunday 26 September at Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum, Halland (just north of Lewes, East Sussex). Let me know if you intend going along so that I can keep a track of numbers on behalf of the venue's management. We will share the parking area on the day with the Alvis Club as they had already booked before I rang! Bring the family along or just pop along for a chat anytime after 10am - entrance is free unless you wish to see the wildfowl or visit the museum. No plaques, no prizes, no pressure!! There's no need to book and you don't need to live in Sussex to qualify for your attendance either! For further info on the venue go to www.bentley.org.uk/page/4525147907

It's scary Scott!! The last Sussex Day (the 9th that I organised) took place at the Brighton Engineerium in 1998 - 12 years ago! Sir John Whitmore came along as our guest of honour at the evening bash!! Here is a photo of me presenting Sir John with a framed picture of him chasing Jack Sears on the track (Sir John is the hansome one on the left of the picture! (

Excellent turn-out today considering the cold weather and the threat of rain. 7 Mark 1's, 4 Mark 2's and 7 or 8 guests bringing along their 'specials'. Everyone had a good chat as far as I could see, and parts, tips and yarns were exchanged in abundance. Many thanks to all those who attended - including the guests.
