GeoffTSJ wrote:Great stuff guys, thanks for your support. Managed a 42.36 run which put me 5th in class. Not only beat a hot M3 but a Ferrari also! Great fun, back tomorrow for more fun, my brother doing the driving so he's fired up to be quicker than me.
Well done Geoff. What was the fastest time of the day? I heard the announcer say he was expecting a 35 , but all the runs I saw didn't get below 40. He did mention a 37 was run in practice , but I'm not sure who by.

Yes thanks Steve for all your hard work in organising it for us and well done Geoff. I think a sub 38 was posted by the 1987 Ford Sierra XR4x4 in the morning practice. Look forward to next year since I believe they intend to run it as an annual event.

That XR4x4 over did it this morning and ended up smashed to bits on its roof ?? I noticed it on a trailor when I drove out.

Throughly enjoyed my day out, plenty to see and found some good spots to see the racing.
A very big thank you to Steve for sorting out this weekend and hope its on next year and if so if we can get a bigger patch for more vehicles to be display after all it was the home lotus cortinas back in 60`s.
Like to mention a big thank you and well done to Geoff for showing us Lotus Cortinas are still out there racing for the marque.

Great day out, good to see so many historic cars in action..! The only thing that could have made it better would have been a lot more sun, never the less..
