Newbie looking for my grandads LC !!

Hi all, looks like a nice friendly forum - hope to be a contibutor soon.

I am trying to track down my grandads MkII Lotus Cortina - i never knew the car or him for that matter as he passed when i was young. He never got to drive the car as he got so ill near the end apparently, so its a good basis for me to get involved now!

I am trying to track down a photo of the car at the moment with family members but in the meantime I would love to know the answer to this query;

I have been told it wasa MkII LC in Aubergine - did they make them in this colour does anyone know?

Hi Gregg, Welcome to the forum.
Good luck in your search.
Mk2 LC's were available in quite a few different colours, as well as all the one's that resprayed over the years.
As soon as you have some details, i'm sure we can find out what happened to it.

Excellent news, thanks for confirming that - i was worried that the initial basic information i had was wrong, but that has set my mind at rest. Will be back with more info soon, thanks.
