Hi

Are there any LCR national/regional meets planned for the Summer or Spring we need to mark in our diaries?

Hi G1,

After a bit of brainstorming here's my list of must see (normally get more than 10 LC's) event's. Not heard confirmed date on are national yet, and not sure about the mk2 cortina national at Billing is it now this new show or is that a extra one? The events are (in no particular order).
LCR National day?
Cortina day Symonds Yat 3rd June
Classic Ford magazine event at Santa pod. 10th June
Mk2 cortina national at Billing.?
Mk1 cortina national at Stratford.July 28/29
Stoneleigh Town and Country 25th-27th August
abingdon all ford day 30th september
Battlesbridge 19th August
Goodwood revival 2nd September
Castle combe rally day 22nd September
New cortina event at Billing 12/13 May
Classic track day Castle combe 9th June

Mk2 National will this year be at Santa Pod in conjunction with Classic Ford Day (9/10 June).

Anyone needing details please contact me. Entry by ticket only pre-ordered.

Personally i think the new event at Billing (12/13 May) should also be a good "do".

Hi Guys

Thanks for the feedback, a session with LCRs would be good, Goodwood is also a good shout was planning to go this year as well (can you get special dispensation and/or parking with a classic car). Not heard of the other events so will check them out.

Cheers for clearing that up H,
We don't normally get enough LC's at santa pod for a own stand. (which is a shame because it's on of best shows). So we normally end up tagging on to the BSC stand. Maybe different this year? Is there enough this year for a LCR stand there?

Special parking is normally pre-66 at Goodwood, so we both just miss it! Dressing up is compulsary and a right laugh.

Wearing my "Ford Cortina Mk2 Owners Club" hat - we are having our National this year at the Classic Ford Santa Pod event.

At the moment we have decided not to have guest clubs - this is a new and untried venue for us and i would not want the embarrassment of apologising to others if something goes wrong.

I've been going to this show since it started and it is one of my fav's. Quite a bit different to other shows, but LOADS to see and do.

bit of a shame, Stoneliegh town and country show has been cancelled this year.

Ditto, Steam and Transport Rally at Detling Showground in Kent. Cancelled this year after 30 years. 2006 attendances were well down. Shame because this was a good August event.
