Masters Top Hat Track Days at Goodwood - March 2007

Post by Steve 155C »

The Top Hat Race series has been taken over by Masters.

Masters are having two track days at goodwood:

03/03/07 - For pre 66 Historic Touring Cars
10/03/07 -For pre 66 Sports Cars

There are 35 cars per track day , with two drivers allowed.

I don't have any info on prices , but you can contact Masters on Tel: +44 (0) 1908 587545 , Fax: +44 (0) 1908 587009 or email team@themasterseries.com

I might go as a spectator on the 3/3 - hopefully there will be some LC action.

Great - I'll just need to confirm the wife hasn't got a hair dressers/shopping appointment or long lost Auntie Ethel isn't making a surprise visit (first time on 25 years) , or the kids aren't doing a ballet/gym/football/arts and craft day

I should be OK. I know one Cortina will be there - Joe from throbnozzle racing will have his lovely baby blue 63 GT out on the track.

:D
had a good day yesterday, loads of LC action. This is looking like a really good series to follow this year.
Special mention goes to throbnozzle racing and their cortina GT who had core plug problems and also a leaky water pump, but instead of just packing up and going home they spent most of the day spannering and managed to get in a couple of laps.

It was a cheap day out - its not every day you get that close to the action and all it cost was a burger , which was optional :)

I didn't realise how cold I was until I couldn't hold my steering wheel properly on the way home.

Here's a few pic's to show the variation of cars that race in the tophat series:-
