Keith Halstead spotted what he believes is the original short engine (block and all internals) S/No. LP1368 for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
It would be good if it was reunited with the car.
Here's a link to the FB post.

That is not the correct stamping engine number stamping, there are 3 digits missing.

Hi Rick,
Interesting comment re the engine S/No. stamping config.
My car is LP1260 - the original engine IAW the original Log Book and Warranty Booklet, The attached pic is the stamping on my engine, which is exactly the same format as the one Keith spotted/is for sale. its on the upward facing flange just above the engine mount/looking down between the inlet ports of no. 2 & 3 cylinders. Andy did not raise any concerns when he inspected and validated my car.
My cylinder head is stamped in exactly the same way, with the same number. Rear centre just below the core plug, pic. attached (taken using a mirror so its back to front in the image attached).

Hi Rick,
Back to my original question - Does the LCR have any historical or current records for this car.
Cheers Brian
