This was the reg of my dad's mk1 L/C SE, which he owned approx. 35 years ago.
Does anyone on here know if the car still exists? Any help appreciated.

Sorry, I've just noticed that this is in the wrong place. Would it be possible to have it moved to the correct section? Thanks.

Hi TYS,
Unfortunately you Fathers car is not on the Register so we have no details of it.
However this could mean it is still out there waiting to be re-discovered at any time.
Good Luck in your search.

Steve 155C,
I have just noticed, on one of the photos I sent to you, there is a badge on the side of the wing. This Lc was an SE - has anyone got a close-up of the badge so I can see what it says/looks like? thanks.

Would it be possible to have the photo (showing most of the car) as my avatar? All help appreciated and keep up the good work.

I think you'll find that the badge at the bottom of the nearside wing of your father's car is the standard Ford badge which was to be found on all Lotus Cortinas not just SE's.
Standard L/C's had blue cam covers and SE's had green ones.
The standard diff. ratio was 3.9 to 1.

I couldn't remember which way round for the cam colour.
Thanks very much, Michael. :D

Hi TYS - I've changed the title on this post to the correct reg and deleted new post.

I've found a period picture in my collection of a car with a reg very , very close reg to this one , and the car is out on a track being raced along side mini's and anglia's etc.

Unfortunately I can't post the pic up as it is copywrited , but are you 100% sure on the reg of your dads one?

I am this time, Steve. As I've said elsewhere, my mother confirmed that the neighbours used to say it should have been UFO by the way my dad drove it!

BTW, Steve - can you E-mail the photo to me, if I send you my E-mail address?
