Some very vaild questions i am being asked:

1 - is Gaydon trailer friendly? - i have a feeling it is very accessible for vehicles with trailers.

2 - overnight car security? - staying in local hotels is not ideal with an expensive car in the car park. Could cars be left on site at Gaydon securely overnight?

Bearing in mind this is going to be a very large event with lots coming big distances i'm sure organisers will have overnight security in mind so i'll investigate further.

Any thoughts on the above particularly from those who have displayed at Gaydon before?

Hi All,

Gaydon has 24hr security!

They house one of the most highly valued museum collections in the world on its own site and buildings and back onto the Aston Martin and Land Rover testing and proving grounds which again have high security.

The LCR have camped in the past several times and the campsite has hook ups for conventional trailers and Winnibaygo type campers.

No one is allowed near the cars if left in situ on the show area overnight.
Coming and going after hours is allowed but are directed to the campsite area only.

Typical - just bought my ticket & my engine has gone pop. Best case it's a head gasket &/or water pump housing seal - worst case it's................... don't go there.

Anyway engine out tomorrow & off the the workshop - hope to get it back before June. :(

Snap Keith. I'm all set to lift mine out over the weekend as well. Good luck with it.

Just routine spring clean Pete. I like to replace the gaskets every few years.

Habit of a lifetime.

Thanks for the kind offer Trevor but it should be back by then & it's quite a faff swapping them out as I'm not as fit as I used to be.
