Hello All
I am in starting the rebuild of my late Brother in Laws car which has been off the road for a long time.
I will be looking for quite a few parts in the near future.
I am starting by looking for as set of steel wheels....
Has anyone got either a set of single wheels available that they want to sell??

Genuine wheels in decent condition are hard to come by now. Usually very heavily pitted or buckled.

There are some reproduction wheels that look very close to the originals. Maybe check those out.

John Brown smoothies are only about £300 a set and do look very similar.

Looks like prices have started to fall since these repros came onto the market.

Keith. Do you happen to know what the letters/numbers stamped on the rims indicate?

Some have month & year - ie 6 65 (June 1965)
Some have 881A - early Lotus but must be just the manufacturers part number
Some have LP 881 - later model Mk2 wheels (Lotus Part?)
Others have nothing.

Hi All
Thanks for the heads up with the aftermarket rims.
What is the general consensus on rim width?
5.5" or 6" ??

5.5J definite, but the next question which keeps cropping up is tyre size.
165 s were standard but most have 175 or 185 !

OK, so we are going with 5.5j wheels.
Now the question is, what width of tyres and I presume different profile?
