Before you all shout, I know most dash panels have 'Cortina' on them but I am aware of several that have 'Delux' on. There are a number of oddities on the car which are mainly due to the last owner being so unwell he seems to have randomly selected parts to fit. Even down to one of the Lotus badges being on upside down .. so very sad for him.
What month / Year is your car? I have seen publicity photo's with deluxe on the lid.

It is November 1964. The previous owner had a large collection of parts from his many other Lotus Cortinas and seems to have randomly fitted things to this car.

I can see the upside down badge ?
Yes Rob, I can see that now, also the front wing badge is on the driver's side and the front seats are wrong, but a nice car all the same!

Yes looks very sound
My 64 car is also an LKE re allocation registration
The 64 replica that I built and sold a few years ago was also an LKE registration

The DVLA must issue certain Reg numbers for certain cars
It does appear that 1964 Fords seem to get LKE numbers as I’ve had 2 and my friends got 2
All are re registered cars
I used to own old American Fords Model A and Model B
These all had Reg numbers starting SV then 4 numbers
Again I still have friends with similar cars with same Reg numbers

My scooter got AHJ but I've seen Lotus Cortina with AHJ so may just select a range & use them as they need.

The issue of an age related number 'LKE' idea may well be correct in this case as it clearly says on the V5 - First reg'd in UK 2011
