Hi all,
As you will all now have your QB except those that have not renewed for this year we want to start a list to see who would be interested in attending.
The date is June 16th and 17th as we are combining it with an annual event at Brookland's called the double twelve. Although the LCR National day will be on the Sunday 17th cars will be in attendance over both days as there is plenty going on over the two days with regards to the Double 12.
Entry to Brooklands is £13.50 per adult £7 for children aged 5-16 and £35 for a family ticket.
Please add your name to the list below.
Kate Horne
Colin Glover
Geoff Gear
Rikki Nock
Rob Ford and Sharon x 2 cars
Wayne Wheeler
Regards
Andy M

I can't work out how to add my name but I have arranged my next trip to take in the AVO National Day which just happens to be on the 17th June at Hatton! I'm going to arrive there on Saturday and attend their AGM in the afternoon and now my plan is to be at their display on Sunday when it opens and stay a few hours and shoot down to Brooklands which is about two hours according to Google and visit the LC National Day! Now that's a full day but I think it's doable. If anybody has any advice for me regarding this attempt, I'd appreciate the advice.....Peter Meyer
Just received my latest QB magazine. Well done to the committee for a sterling effort and I look forward to catching up with you all at Brooklands where I will aim to arrive about 1.00pm.

May the committee ask the membership (we realize we will be pilloried) what are the reasons for the lack of support for YOUR National Weekend as we now have less than 2 weeks to go?
It is an excellent venue with plenty to see for everyone and plenty going on over the 2 days.
Entry to Brooklands is £13.50 per adult £7 for children aged 5-16 and £35 for a family ticket.
Regards
Your Committee

Hello Andy,
I haven't actually entered this year as I will be with my new grandson that weekend.
It's a great place. Hope you all enjoy it.

Committee, like Keith, it is an unpleasant homeward journey round the M25 which was extremely hot coming back from the Brooklands Double 12 last year with lots of stop start traffic on the Sunday afternoon!
I appreciate that some members may have a worse journey?
It also clashes with a local show which I have already registered for,- 10-15 miles of local country lanes for me,- much more pleasant and cars can come and go as they please! Well, that's my reason!

Hi
It’s very doubtful I’ll be able to get there with my car
As the engine is out awaiting rebuild & conversion to unleaded
It’s a shame to miss it as it is a good weekend with the bonus of being at brooklands
I’ve tried to go to as many National Day's as possible since being a member
If we don’t support the club these events will not be arranged which would be a shame
I’m sure our cars came across traffic & travelled long distances when they were new & a lot of them are probably better now since being restored
I hope those attending enjoy the weekend
Curly

I will not be attending the National weekend for several reasons, chief among them being that I no longer have a Lotus Cortina.
However, I am saddened to see that only a dozen or so cars are intending to come.
I remember with fondness the "good old days", back in the eighties and nineties, when we use to have 50 plus cars turn up.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be, but surely there must be more cars and drivers out there somewhere.
I hope all who do attend have good weather and an enjoyable day(s).

Still a member but no longer have a car. I thoroughly enjoyed Brooklands in 2017 thought it was a superb venue with loads to see.
I was lucky that YMK could cope with stationary traffic on hot days with no movement on the temp' gauge.
I was never frightened of taking the car anywhere. Worst case i could always come home on an AA recovery truck.
I hope a few more cars come out the woodwork and attend, you won't be disappointed. Make a long day, drive really early in the morning and really late in the evening to avoid the heat and traffic.
Have fun.
I'll hide behind the sofa and admit i'm going to the AVO National, but then i felt a Mondeo on the LCR stand would just not blend right.

Well Howard I look forward to seeing you at AVO day but I intend to take off late morning to head to Brooklands to visit LCR National day. I enjoyed last year at Brooklands. Its great to spend time with my international friends.
