63 PRE-AIRFLOW
Hi Folks
What price would you put on a genuine pre-airflow, A-frame restored car.
Does anyone know how many early cars survive.
Thanks G

Re: 63 PRE-AIRFLOW
It really depends on originality - are you talking about YKK?

Really depends on the quality of the restoration and originality of the car.
The LCR will inspect and value a car for members. They only charge for expenses. If you are thinking of spending between £50K - £100K , I would suggest you join and take advantage of this service.

No, wasn't me David. But this is a well known car to the club, and I do know a previous owner. PM Rick if you have questions about it.

Re: 63 PRE-AIRFLOW
I have a very nice 63 sitting on my behalf in a classic dealer in Sweden. So original that it still has chassis number etched in inner wing as from factory.RHD and with a huge history file supplied new to Sweden.Would like to see it sold back into Scandinavia but if interested I can get the “Mats” dealer principal to contact you.
Car located in south near Malmo/Copenhagen.
Kind Regards
Bruce Miles

Re: 63 PRE-AIRFLOW
Yes I bought it over to UK then fitted a new engine as old one would have been raced out and it had a later engine. Then took it back as I would like it to go back into Scandinavia if possible. It has such a great history there.
I had an early block LP 7:: and had bought new pistons a new old stock crank and rods and had an early D head engine done by Nick Stagg, that and a door glass corrected the only incorrect items I could find and as I had found another to restore (which I enjoy) I decided to sell it again.
If it doesn’t sell in Scandi I will bring back and try in UK.
An amazing original car and well worth a view.
Think you commented on it when they originally had it for sale.
You probably helped my decision at the time.
By absolute coincidence a car I thought I had lost was offered back to me a few weeks later and I bought it
this caused wife nagging and the result a return trip to Sweden.
This time however I took it up in a trailer 750mls each way from Oxford great trip hit the hotel with my trailer
when I got there.
But last year I drove it down,a big adventure.
