Hi
I´m new to this forum and might be on the wrong string.....
I sent an email to the chairman of the club in august and havent received a reply so I´m posting the email in a hope that someone can help me!

Dear Chairman
We have through our USA company come in to possession of a Ford Cortina Lotus.
The car has been stored outside (with a cover) for the last 10 years but is in ok condition.

We wonder if you can help us with information/history about the car (if possible) and give us an idea of its current value and a future value if restored. We have heard that this car was raced or a pace car at Indianapolis raceway.

Vehicle nr: BA74FU59642
Paint Code: BA A
Drive Eng: 2 S
Trans: S
Axle: S
Trim: A875

Sincerely
Johan Monsén

Hi Johan. Welcome to this forum. You need to contact either Andy M or Rick for this type of query. You can PM either of them via this forum.

Hello Johan

It's Magnus Lie from Norway here.
For history about your car, you could join/subscribe to the Cortina-list discussion group on
http://lotus-cortina.com/mailman/listin ... ortina.com
Cortina-list is run by Bob Woolner (see his website on http://www.lotus-cortina.com/).

The list has a lot of members from the USA, and some of them have been into Lotus Cortinas for 30-40 years, so you might find somebody on there who knows about your car.

The FU part in your chassis number means the car was built in June 1966 (see http://www.lotus-cortina.com/mk1plate.htm).
