Early MK1 diff housing

Post by Teuchter »

Hello all,

New to this site but not to Lotus Cortina, I own a mostly all original 1966 MK1.

I have what looks like a new old stock MK1 A frame diff housing, photos below. Can anyone confirm this please, I will be selling it.

Thanks and regards.

Yes - I agree that is a A frame axle casing. And worth a pretty penny to.

Many thanks for the interest and comments, this axle is no use to me as I have a later Air Flow car.

I had not intended to make this an auction site, not sure LCnet would approve!

I am struggling on price hence tardy response, I want to be fair but know it has some value.

Let me ponder a bit more, I would like to offer the axle to those on site first.

Cheers for now.

Re: Early MK1 diff housing, UPDATE price and shipping to UK

Post by Teuchter »

Hello,

Sorry for tardy response, I assume interest in this NOS MK1 A frame diff housing is mostly from UK members?

I have just been to weigh and price shipping, weight is 14.820 Kgm, both the following shipping prices "includes" insurance however, not boxed as this would increase cost significantly, it will be wrapped in plastic with "fragile" stickers. I can box if so desired.

I will sell for a firm £800.00, plus freight. Either, 2 day air freight @ $328.60 Canadian, (£193.29) Or, 2 month surface @ $190.85 Canadian (£112.05). Current U.K. Pound at $1.70 Canadian. £ seems to have taken a hit of late!

Canada is not inexpensive to ship to U.K., if purchaser would like to arrange shipping that is fine.

If, there are North American interest I will price shipping.

Thank you for interest.

Regards.
