In 1986 my friend bought BPH 54H (at age 18). This car had been around in the north east of Scotland since the early/mid 70s.
In 1987 it was taken off the road for strip down and mechanical overhaul. Due to one reason or another this work was not completed and in1989/90 my friend moved to the Birmingham area and took the partially stripped Cortina and all parts with him.
White, black vinyl roof with full length folding sunroof, Dunlop alloys.

We Have BPH 56H on the register, which had an owner in Turniff in 1976 same car or was there more than one in the same town?

The car my mate had was definitely BPH 54H. Last road taxed late 80s.
