Hi all I'm interested in buying this car but I have limited knowledge on the Lotus cortina, from what I can see straight away is that the front grille is from an early car but the dash is from a later car, would prefer if it was all original but maybe you can shed some light on it. I will be getting it checked out prior to purchase but I'd interested in your opinions.

well the pictures show a bit of a mismatch of Lotus Cortinas, if you can PM with a chassis number I can check that out and tell you if we have any info on the car.

I'm waiting for the chassis number from Japan, I was exited at first but that began to fade when i noticed the little details not matching up.

Just had a look on the register, and in total over the years there have been 33 Mk1 LCs reported to be in Japan, cant say how many are there now, most seem to have been exported there in the 90s

MY 1966 MK1 LC BA74FL59021supposedly spent 20 years in Japan until 2008 . Was it registered with the club during that time ?

Looks like its the same car that's in Kings Lynn for the April classic,
