event dates

Just received my latest edition of Quarter bumper and noticed to errors in the 2015 events.
The all Ford show at Aylesford is on the 26th April not the 20th as stated.
Also the Medway Festival at Chatham dockyard was on the
5th and 6th April! So unless I am wrong it has been and gone.
Just wanted to point this out as best I can and not wishing to cause any offence.

Nice to see the listings are read, and your observations are indeed correct.

Hi Dave,

Yes some things I am afraid don't catch up with the QB!
It usually takes 4 weeks from leaving Geoff's computer to it arriving through your letterbox!

Firstly it goes by snail mail to Rikki's for print approval. (The file is too big to go by email) If all is ok and it does not have to go back to Geoff for some fettleing, it can then go to the printers who will either fit it in between other jobs or if nothing is in they can crack on with printing the copies.
The finished magazine is then returned to Rikki for stuffing into envelopes and franking ready for posting. Posting is over 3 days with Worldwide one day, Europe the next and the UK the day after.

That is if all goes according to plan!
Therefore if any articles are time sensitive then I am afraid you can miss out on events!

I know you were not complaining I just thought a little explanation would not go amiss for the rest of the membership!!

I was not pointing out the fact that the event had been and gone. Even though it had.The date in the QB were for 20th and 21st May so did not want anybody to turn up without checking first!!!!
Could have been a disappointment.
All the best Dave.
