may be buying!

Post by caprigeeza »

Hello everyone

New to the mk1 scene but hoping for any thoughts people have. I may be able to buy what looks like a great mk1 lotus (1966) - it looks great in the pictures and will be having a look later this week - prices seem to vary but I hopefully can come to an agreement - is there any way of verifying genuine cars in the club - I'm pretty sure it is as found a write up on the car a few years back. It did go through the auctions in 2002 for a hammer price of 13k! If only I bought one then!

No ; but I did see it for sale, as most cars get picked up by LCR members and discussed on here so you can do a search on the reg to view the details.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.
If you PM Andy M or Rick they can talk you through getting a car looked at.
Cheers

Ah I'm just a registered user not a member of the club - perhaps it would be a good idea to become a full member to ask for advice

Paul
there is a nice looking 63 car for sale on car and classic in Yorkshire at the moment.
do not know if it is a genuine car but if in the right condition is more valuable than a 66 leaf sprung car.
perhaps it is known to the club but if not it would need to be verified.
search in the FORD section not lotus on car and classic index and search cortina.
Good luck Dave.
