Here are some pics of the cars i owned in the 70s,had a bit of info from Scott and Steve, anybody got any more?
AYJ 575C a mid 65 car, airflow dash, and grill, but had all the early bits as well.sold it in 74/75,(kept the wheels)
JLX 232K,a S1,mk2 crayford, imported into u.k in 72,original colour was red,i painted in daytona yellow, ???(it was the 70s)
The crayford dropped a valve, what a mess that makes of an ally head!!,
Bought a second hand t/c engine, and changed it over one Saturday morning
outside in the street with a lump of 4x2 and an old rope, those were the days.

Hi Andy , I've got nice picture of JLX 232K , looking superb in traditional white with the green stripe.

I've no idea when or where it was taken , but it looks fairly recent.

I'll scan it and post it up.

Looking back it seemed the right thing to do,i think daytona yellow was a new ford colour for the mk3 cortina, and as my brother worked at Fords Dagenham
in the body shop,on Saturdays you could do your own thing,so AYJ went from white and green to black with JPS coachlines,JLX went from red to yellow, and the old 1600E chrome rostyles set it off a treat.
