NATIONAL DAY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - PLEASE READ

For everyone who is attending the Lotus Festival please be aware that there are restricted entry times to the circuit on both days. Entry is not permitted between 09.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs on Saturday and 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs on Sunday. Some of you will be aware that these restricted entry times were printed on the 'VIP' parking passes that were distributed with the tickets. However not all of the passes included this restriction and there were no restrictions in place last year. We therefore queried this with the organiser who has now confirmed that all of the passes should have been printed with the restricted entry times. I would therefore urge you all to aim to leave home as early as possible to make allowance for any traffic delays. Gates open at 08.00hrs on both days.

Thanks for the tip Neil I usually come off at Wrotham and come up the hill,
so will hit that traffic no doubt.

I bet Keith goes there first in case any early mk1 gold dust is on them stalls..............

cheers

To make it simpler there is a boot fair if you are coming from M25 north Swanley towards Brands on the Sunday and another on the Saturday if you are coming from the south M20 Maidstone .

Does that mean they are expecting to get all the exhibitors cars through the gate between 8.00 and 9.00?

Is this correct then we can only get in on Saturday between 8 and 9 am

This will be interesting ? HNO will be fun as it still overheats in traffic :(

Yes guys, it does mean you will need to be there between 08.00hrs and 09.00hrs. If you're already queued up on the gate and you get in after 09.00 then they can't turn you away. Best to not take a chance and get there as early as possible even if it means waiting for the gates to open. Should be interesting getting 80+ cars parked up in such a short space of time

Once you set off from home, if it looks like you are going to be late or you end up arriving after 09.00 please give me a call on 07927 324427. I have offered to escort cars from the gate to the stand on foot but I don't know if they will agree to that.

It's not just our 80+ cars, what about all the other Lotus club cars?

Not sure Pete but I think the guys on the gate are going to be busy!

Yeah, the gate guys will be busy, but its not like they don't do this sort of thing regularly............

I suspect these timings are all about restricting on site car movements while the general public is around. Interesting how they can move cars around for parade laps though eh?

Make sure your pass is well visible and they must just wave people through
