Hi All,
Slightly off subject but inexplicably linked to the LCR, a short a note to all you conniseurs of fine ale,
The Great British Beer Festival 2013 is on at London's Olympia Exhibition Center August 13th - 17th.
Myself and a few others will be attending on Friday 16th August and giving our opinions on the delicacies before us!!
Anyone who is thinking of coming along, it will be great to meet up for a quiet afternoon stroll sampling a tipple or two of beer, ale, cider and perry from around the British Isles.

Hi All,

As I have had no replies or enquiries with regards to the GBBF does this mean, that this club who were renowned for their drinking antics and social entertaining and revered amongst the other enthusiast clubs no longer has a devout following of the Ale!!!
Am I the only one who is trying to uphold the fine traditions of the past?
I hope not as I can't do it on my own!!

Anyone who wants to join me for a enjoyable entertaining afternoon please get in touch through this medium.

No Andy - you are not alone! It's just that when you reach retirement age (like a few of us have) you can choose the day you wish to attend. By the look of you (particularly early mornings), you've not got long to wait!! I am meeting up with Peter Poole as usual, but this year on the Wednesday. I find that Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays are better than Fridays as it's less busy on the trains, and generally less people at the festival with more beer choices as many of the brews are sold out before Friday! We'll try our hardest to leave something for you!
