I beleive it was a factory red car.

Hi Niki,
What makes you think it was a factory red car?
It's not a car I've ever come accross, but it would be very unlikely to
have been red from new. There are a couple of TUR registered cars known and their numbers close to the car you mention.
Got any more details on it?
I'm sure you'll be aware that most mark one Lotus' were white/green from new, but plenty were painted over and there are two green and a gold painted car documented.
Post up a photo, if you have one available.

Hi Scott,
My father owned it circa 1974 & he is fairly certain that it was a factory red car, he added a gold stripe as per the gold leaf colour scheme.
I will see if he has any pics of it, but that is the correct reg number according to him.
