That's an inspiring trip. Will you use as many route nationals as you can & what car will you be driving?

When I was restoring my Mk1 through 89 to 93, Angouleme was one of the events that captured my imagination but I never had the time to do it.

I'm retired now so maybe, if I get my arse in gear, I'll make it next year.

Have a good Christmas one & all.

Hi Dave, I now have a tram pass so lots of time to mess around,we visit race tracks on our trips and try to stay off motorways as we like to see some of the countrys we pass through 50 MPH and a max of 150 to 180 miles a day. We will visit Pau,Monte Carlo,San Remo and Brescia as well one or two days in each place, we are going in the MK1 Crayford again photo above, I am just fitting new pistons and re-bore after our last trip in September when a bolt and washer came out of the air filter at St Nazaire and the washer found its way into No4 piston,we managed to drive the rest of the trip 1500miles home. I am now getting it ready for our trip to Laon Historic in May 2012 then Cortina in September. All the best to all LCR members and your families for Christmas and New Year. Ron.
