Essex Pub Meets 2011 - new venue - starts 28th Aprill

I am thinking about resuming the LCR Pub Meets in Battlesbidge again in the Spring & a new venue may be worth trying; so take a look at this location which is in Battlesbridge close to the Barge where we used to go :-

http://www.lodge-inn.net/

It has a large car park with a pond, good sized Pub with excellent food, good hilltop views across to Pitsea tip & the landlord loves old cars, especially Lotus Cortinas.

Please add your names if interested & if we can drum up some enthusiasm, we'll set a date for the first one.

Looks ok to me, what day of the week are you thinking and will the other essex clubs be there the same meeting?

Probably be the last Thursday of the month Tim - may be a general classic meet run by Chelmsford club at the same venue.

Right, Spring is here & we can resume our old meets at Battlesbridge but at the new venue of the Lodge pub (about 1 mile from the old venue).

From the Rettendon Turnpike roundabout take the new road to Woodham Ferrers & the pub is signposted about 1.5 miles on the left up it's own private drive.

Starts at 7 PM - please add your name to the post if you are interested in attending.

Hope to see you there as we should have a few new cars this year.

I should be ok.
I like the cloth between the axle stand and GBP underside, bet the Mrs is wondering where that tablecloth went.
Serious question now, is the white different on the Police car or is it just the light in the photo?

It's exactly the same paint as Pete's just looks lighter in the pic. A few have spotted this & commented, it's strange how it appears light without the green stripe.

Would prefer Wednesdays (like it used to be at the Barge) as I'm usually out on Thursdays
