New Scottish Pub Meet!

Post by Andy M »

All,

New pub meet for our Scottish Contingent perhaps

Starting point for a Scottish Rally or Tour?

This has been sent to me and there are some lovely pictures which accompany this text but am unable to transfer them.

I have pleasure in introducing you to Ballathie House Hotel, one of the UK’s leading country houses situated in its own Perthshire estate overlooking the River Tay and gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Ballathie House and Estate date back to the 17th Century and great care has been taken to retain the original beauty of the House. Many original features remain giving Ballathie an air of classical elegance matched with a warm and welcoming ambience.

This beautiful Scottish country house offers spacious and warm naturally lit reception rooms. 41 beautiful bedrooms each decorated to an individual style which includes 3 suites and one of the finest award wining restaurants in Scotland. The relaxed and charming character of Ballathie provides the perfect location for a luxurious stay home-from-home.

EatScotland has awarded Ballathie House with the Silver Award for high standards in Scottish dining. Ballathie has earned the Award in recognition of its creative dishes which combine the traditional Scottish cooking with a modern twist. The Perthshire Hotel which has earned a string of awards for its restaurant is also committed to sourcing quality local ingredients.

Offering the advantages of a beautiful and inspiring location we would be delighted to offer the hotel as part of your Round Britain Tour. You mentioned there might be approximately 30-40 couples at the event which would be perfect to take exclusive use of Ballathie House. We can also perhaps assist with the tour arrangements and use our local contacts to help with part of the programme e.g. lunch stops etc.

We would welcome the opportunity to provide a tailor made quote if you are planning perhaps a Scottish tour and in the meantime, I have outlined below some prices which you have as a guideline:
?

Rooms Exclusive use of Ballathie House Hotel with 41 bedrooms:
The Main House accommodating:
5 single rooms 9 double rooms
4 twin rooms 5 master double rooms
1 master twin rooms 1 suite

Riverside Building accommodating:
2 suites 8 double rooms
6 twin rooms

Sportsman’s Lodge: 11 double/twin rooms

Rate Our exclusive use rate of the property is £6,500 per night for the Main House and the Riverside Building
Additional rooms required in the Sportsman’s Lodge are charged at £55.00 per room per person based on double occupancy or £75.00
Rates are inclusive of Full Scottish Breakfast and Vat

Dinner Restaurant for private use with pre dinner drinks in the Drawing Room is £45.00 for 4 course + coffee per person

Entertainment We can then perhaps arrange evening entertainment such as a Jazz Band or Celidh (see activity price list)

If the numbers are not as high as 30-40 couples then you may not wish to take exclusive use of the property in which case we would provide a dinner, bed & breakfast rate for the number of rooms required.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information and we sincerely hope to hear from you when more details are known and we can provide our competitive tailor made quote.

Kind Regards,

Susan J Reid
