954 UNK or UNK 954

At Malvern Classic Car show today a lady enquired about a Lotus Cortina she owned from new many years ago, she told me it was the 500th car off the production line & the reg she thinks is either 954 UNK or UNK 954 or something very similar. She would like to know if it's still about, if anyone can give me any info I can pass it on to her.

One of my trade customers used to own 953 UNK untill the early 80's. Says selling it was the worst decision he's ever made! I'm pretty sure that a club member from Yorkshire owns 950 UNK too.
