Steve, a bit of lateral thinking. If your wife is anything like mine, the sharp intake of breath everytime you suggest you might like to buy, for instance, a spare torpedo prop shaft at the autojumble, will actually cause you to save money you would otherwise have spent and you will earn brownie points as a bonus.

It was a great turn out at a nice location (not just because it was on my doorstep!!)
My misses nearly had a heart attack when she saw pictures of my 2.5 year old catapolted 30ft in the air on the bungee. He loved it.

This was a great day out. No judging, no prizes, no pressure - just a great opportunity to give the car a good run out, be in good company and have lively conversation. It was good to see such a good turn-out on the Sunday and to meet up again with a few old faces and meet one or two new ones. Nice one Rick. Thanks for making arrangements for LCR members and others to join in this event - roll on next year! (just a minute!! - is that Rick's scooter with a personal plate in the foreground)?

You won't catch me on a Vespa, Lambretta is the way to go.
