Hi Dave
As there was no postings I was not sure it was on after Andy's post so had committed to a SWMBO event.

An interesting point raised by Andy however, as far as I am aware, only 2-3? guys go to London, sometimes? I have once & may do so again but personally, I am quite happy for our meetings to stay as is.
Would be nice to meet anyone from London who ventured down this way to either a Sussex or Kent meeting..................

Brendan, are you trying to incinerate I’me incompetent? I’ve a good mind to take a fence ! You'l be saying i'me disspepsik next

Pub Meet

Hi Mervyn and all at the Kent/Surrey/Sussex meet!

It was not my intention to put anyone off or kill a meeting. As I said in my original post it is great that another meeting is taking place as for many years we have only had 1 or 2 regular monthly meetings around the Country.

My main point was that of the 28 to 31 days of any month that could be chosen for a new venue (I am aware the meet has taken place over a couple of years now) was the day before the long standing meet at West London and this could be counter productive as I said!

Yes there has sometimes been only a handful of members attending at West London (in fact this Wednesday we only had 7 members and no cars) over the last year or so but at one time we have had 13 cars and 25 members and regularly had 10 cars! (Happy/Halcyon Days).

Forgive me but I am sure as I stated members that attend or have attended both meets would not travel to both in the same week. Perhaps if they were 2 weeks apart then maybe both meets would benefit.

I thought that Steve Booker, Geoff Letts, Rikki Nock and off course Dave Baldock did attend the Chailey Meet, not sure whether Scott has made it there but my assumption was we were targeting the same audience! It would be great if we could tempt other newer members but it seems its the stalwarts that always attend.
Anyway whatever works for you has my blessing (not that you need or require it)
Keep it up

Hi Andy,

I did position the Sussex meet on the first Thursday of the month which puts it well away from the West London do as Geoff, Steve & myself, as you know, do like to attend the odd West London meet, but for Kent I think it's unlikely that anyone there is going to make it all the way to West London & vice versa.

I don't think numbers matter at all. Even if only one other makes it I'm assured of a very pleasant evening were ever it is.

If any 'Kentaters' would like to get over your way we can easily change the date to suit.

Regards.

Dave

When the Kent meeting was started this was the night that suited those who attended the first meetings so if it ain't broke leave it alone.
