Hi gentlemen. It's getting a little closer for me and I'm getting a little excited. Dave, I hope the offer of a ride is still open but if its difficult I will find my own way I'm sure. I realize that I've actually hired a bloody car anyway. I will be staying at the Brambltye in forest row.
Also planning on Goodwood on the following Sunday and maybe even Saturday unless their is a display somewhere accessible. Definately at Goodwood on the Sunday. That's the 14th.

I think I originally put this in the wrong place.....

Hi Peter,

No problem with the ride. Keep us up to date with your dates & we'll get as many members out for a get together as we can for you. I assume you have friends to pick you up from the airport (Gatwick?). If not let me know & we'll sort something out.

Looking forward to seeing you again.

Thanks Dave. Actually arrive at Heathrow in the morning and would be great to be collected in an LC but I have hired a car!
Looking forward to seeing you all again. Trust Allan will join us as well. I will be in touch a little closer but its not long now!
Its my shout!

Hello all,

Sorry I didn't make the last meet. It was my intention to talk about a new venue. From what I've heard a live band playing means the move can't come about quickly enough!

Looking at the map our two 'extremists' are Mervyn to the East & Steve to the West. This puts Uckfield (where I live) the mid point between the two. Do I hear murmurs from the masses?

Mervyn has offered to join me in a search for a suitable venue. Any suggestions, let me know & we'll check them out or if anyone want's to join us let me know.

We're looking for somewhere quiet & discreet with good parking & a good size bar area.

We'll have it sorted for next month then we can vote for approval once everyone has seen it.

How does that sound?

Dave + Others - any chance of meeting on the first Wedneday (03/07) for the July meet. I have something on on the Thursday that I can't reschedule.

Shall we wait 'till we know what Peter Meyer's plans are? He arrives on the 4th so maybe make the July date with him.

Spoke to Geoff yesterday & he suggested the Foresters Pub in Fairwarp. Geoff happens to live in Fairwarp but I know he has our best interests at heart.

What about meeting at the Six Bells in Chiddingly village (BN8 6HE) just off the A22 at Golden Cross on the A22. It's a pub with a huge amount of character, good car parking, two bars and loads of motoring memorabilia everywhere - even in the bog!

Damn. Thats a shame. Looks like our paths probably won't cross on this visit then Peter. Enjoy your trip and the Sussex countryside.

I was thinking if Peter could give us an evening he'll be free maybe we could make that date the July meet?

I thought about Chiddingly Graham, only thing it's not really central for everyone? Maybe an ad hoc, old boy's, sunny day meet?

The 4th is the only night I can see clear at the moment. I'm in town for a wedding on the Saturday and then off the South of France. I am back on the 13th and have no plans for that day at this point. I'm at Goodwood on the 14th but I couldn't get tickets for the 13th. They are sold out! I fly home on the 15th. I know my wife would like to spend some time in Tumbridge Wells on the Saturday but I can probably deal with that if a LC event took precedence.........

Ok folks. Who's up for The Foresters, Fairwarp on Thursday 4th July, in honour of our Australian mate Peter Meyer?

What time? Perhaps some of us could make it a bit earlier than the usual 8.00 - say 6.30?
