MRE 555F

Post by terrytc »

i have recently bought "mre" from a chap in sussex, and i would like to know if anyone has any information regarding this vehicle, i know he acquired 2 cars around 10 yrs ago from someone in in chatham kent, both cars were in barns and needed restoration, "mre" was the better option, so i was told, the other vehicle was scrapped as it was to far gone, i dont know the registration number of it, i will be contacting DVLA to find out what they have on record, any information would be greatly received, thanks terry

1968 Lotus Ford Cortina Twin Cam - 46,368 Miles

Presented in an elegant off-white Lotus Cream exterior with a black interior, this 1968 Lotus Cortina Twin Cam (Mk2) is a rare and highly desirable classic that perfectly blends Ford practicality with Lotus performance.

Showing just 46,368 miles, this example has been cherished throughout its life and represents an outstanding opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic sports saloons of the 1960s.

History & Restoration:

The car was the subject of a comprehensive restoration around 2010, involving a full strip-down to bare metal. The shell was treated, correctly primed, and repainted in the correct Lotus factory colours. Importantly, the body was an excellent starting point and required no structural welding, a testament to its originality and condition.

All body panels are genuine Ford items, and the panel fit and body lines are near perfect, giving the car a sharp and authentic appearance.
