Mk1 Gearbox Problem 3rd Gear

Can anyone help enlighten me please. My 66 Mk1 Lotus gearbox has just started becoming very difficult to get into 3rd gear. It was overhauled 1500 miles ago. Advise appreciated. Cheers Murray.
