Silverstone Classic 28 29 30 July 2017

Post by H Cortina »

Club are considering having a stand but would like to judge interest first.

We have some "inside" help and will be able to have a better location than previous years (not on hardstanding though).

Looking for 15 cars and extra Mk2's would be great to help celebrate the 50th.

Early bird ticket discounts ends 31st March so please indicate if you would like to attend as soon as possible.

We now have the club code for booking your Lotus Cortina in at Silverstone and on to the club stand, However, if don't get a decent number of cars for the club stand we will not take up the offer, so before you all go ahead and book, I would ask you to wait to see how many members come forward to pledge there attendance, the early bird tickets come to an end on the 31st March.

We have four cars already pledged but we need more, it is an expensive venue, but there is great racing especially with our Editor burning up the track in the UTCC race.

the club code is 17119SCC

Booked for 3 days with camping. Will bring one car, not sure whether to bring a MK1 or MK2 will advise.

Just moving this to the top, hopefully to generate some more interest, we have 5 cars so far for this event, the discounted ticket scheme finishes at the end of May, if we don't get any more interest we will abandon plans for a club stand, those already booked will have to enter the one make area

Still only 6 cars and last day for early bird tickets is tomorrow, if there are no more takers then we will cancel the stand.

With regret we have cancelled the club stand as we did not get a bigger enough take up.
