DAR 712B

Post by viperwarwick »

Hi, Anybody out there know what happened to my first car, an early 1964 Mk.1 Lotus Cortina S/E, registration
DAR 712B … also any history prior to 1968 when I purchased the car. The car was equipped with Irvin Parachute Company 3 point harnesses and a hand pump CTC fire extinguisher and had been converted to leaf springs. There is a 1964 Lotus Cortina DAR 722B that is in several factory racing photos … I wonder if the car had been a factory car. I sold the car in the early 1970s to a person who was going to rally the car. During the time I owned the car, I had the car lowered and had the engine bored out and stroked to 1703 c.c. with Cosworth L2 cams. Engine work and build was done by Chris Sclater at David Wood Engineering in West London. Please contact me if you have any information at "viperwarwick@sbcglobal.net" Thank You.
