Hi, I would be very interested in locating the 1966 MK1 Lotus Cortina that I owned from late 1968/ early 1969 to December 1971. I managed to trace and contact the owner before me (much to my amazement!) he had it from new. I sold it to a couple of Irish guys who said they were going to take it to Ireland.
I did look up the registration on a certain car parts website some time ago but the reg. number was not recognised.
I tried again a few days ago and much to my surprise it came up as a 1966 Ford so I checked on the GOV.UK website and it's there! I felt sure it would have been scrapped! Very pleased it's still going.
If anyone has any info on it I would be glad hear about it.
I've got a few stories about it myself and some pics (unfortunately only small prints, I'm looking for the negs). I'm sure I've also got a distributor from it somewhere in my garage.
