Tire Recommendation

Post by Fvee20 »

I would like to get back to a more period correct tire for my 66... what are people running and feel free to give an opinion or post a picture.

The car came with 205's which require spacers to fit the fronts and I really don't like the look.

Thanks,

John

165 s were standard but from what I have seen 175 & 185 are often fitted

I have 185 s on my 64 car

Consensus seems to be 175/70/13 over past few discussions.

If you want period tyres you will be a little limited I suspect.
You can but Dunlop Aquajet and Michelin XAS in 165 x 13.
Isn't that the answer for period tyres. I run the XAS.......
