Well I stayed for 5 hours today. Weather brilliant and 8 cars. 7 mk1s and my mk2.

If you are coming tomorrow and read this use the main entrance, we will be 150m or so from the gate. Parking either side of the access road on tarmac.

That goes down as a successful weekend in my book. Thanks to all who turned up. Weather Sunday a big mix of sun shower sun monsoon sun, plus wind.

Plenty of track action and lots of talking cars.

Many thanks Howard for organising this event. Tina and I very much enjoyed Saturday with free grandstand seating overlooking Paddock Bend. My Son and two Grandsons enjoyed the day on Sunday too, despite sitting in folding chairs trackside trying desperately to hold onto three large umbrellas in gale force wind and lashing rain whilst eating our sandwiches, but hey, the squall only lasted 15 minutes or so and then the sun came out again! It was great to meet a few old and familiar LCR faces and exchange insults (as usual), and to meet once again with some more recently enlisted LCR members. Particular thanks from me and my boys to Ian and Dave.
Regards,

Well done Howard
I had a great weekend and found out the reason I've been
noticing petrol fumes on the last couple of trips in AJT.
I lost a carb top on the way home!
Still got home ok, without any hassle.
Thanks again Howard.

I enjoyed the Sunday, thanks Howard for organising everything

Who's event is this?
Surely they would like it to be easily accessible to everyone, not just people in the south?
Convenient for me and other locals, but they should alternate the location north & south, do we have any input?

Pete - Having spoken to the organiser last year I understand the plan was to keep holding the event at Brands Hatch for the time being at least simply because the facilities there are so good. At the moment the LOTRDC run the event but if a different organiser was to come on board then there's always the possibility that the venue might change.

I know for the first three years the event was held at Snetterton which is in my neck of the woods so I wouldn't be arguing if they were to relocate it there! These early events were actually very good but at that time the club wasn't involved. A lot of investment has been made at Snetterton recently including a remodelling of the track. The roadlinks are also much better with the final stretch of the A11 between Thetford and Newmarket now dualled so journey times from all areas are now much reduced. I wouldn't therefore rule out a return to Snetterton in the future particularly with Lotus Cars and Classic Team Lotus both based nearby.

Big thanks to Howard for organising this event.
Spent 2 enjoyable days and must say what a great bunch turned up.
Although we had showers on the Sunday it did not appear to dampen the enthusiasm.
Roll on next years festival.
