Castle Coombe Action Day

The choice Clubs now enjoy to attend events is huge, but we wondered if you had considered Castle Combe Action Days?

The Classic & Sports Car Action Day has been running for almost 30 years and provides a unique blend of club display areas, the ability to drive on the famous 1.85 mile circuit, either in ‘open’ sessions or if you are looking for something a little more sedate then in our escorted session or even our family orientated Parade Laps. However, what really sets Castle Combe Action Days apart is that we continue to offer free display space and up to 12 free admission tickets to all accepted clubs. All we ask from you is to turn up, put on a nice display, but above all enjoy yourselves. Many enthusiasts are just happy to be here and soak up the atmosphere while others do enjoy using the track. If you book track time in advance then you can take advantage of some great money saving offers, but the lunchtime Classic Cruise is free and friends and family can accompany you in the car.

Plus Castle Combe is a nice area to visit. We are just off the M4 between Junctions 17 and 18, so close to the World Heritage Sites of Bath and Avebury with Stonehenge about an hour away. Castle Combe Village itself, just half a mile from the Circuit has featured in many films and is often judged to be the prettiest village in the country. It was originally put on the map with the making of ‘Dr Dolittle’ and currently features in the Steven Spielburg ‘War Horse’ blockbuster.

It’s still not too late to apply as a club; some like the Austin Westminster Club just arrive with 3 or 4 cars, whereas others like Caterham are often represented by up to 50 or 60 different models. So why not give us a try? You will find you can download an Application Form here, just complete and return it.

But, whatever, we hope your members enjoy a great summer and hopefully we can welcome you here.

Clubs so far booking space include those representing, Alfa Romeo, Austin, Hillman Avenger, Capris, Fiat, Honda, Hillman Imp, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes, MGF, Minis, Mazda MX5s, Opel Mantas, TVR, Triumph TRs, Marcos and several multi marque clubs and forum groups.
